Check out CREATE!

The final issue of CREATE is live!

Check out this months gorgeous cover!
It's filled with 205 pages of fabulous inspiration.
Scrapbook layouts, cards, tags and the ever popular sketches.

I have 2 double page layouts in this months issue.

The first, was for the Christmas theme challenge.

For my second layout I used Gelatos to make a mist to sprinkle on my page in place of my usual
"Color Shine". It worked really well.

As I mentioned above, this is will be the final issue of CREATE.
I would like to thank the ladies at Scrapbook Generation  for this
awesome opportunity. It has been a blast!
Thanks so much!

CREATE is here!

The September issue of CREATE is here!
It's full of fun and fabulous projects!

Be sure to stop over at Scrapbook Generation and check it out,
and while you're there, take a peek at all of the new things in the
online store. So many awesome items.
I am loving the adult coloring books,
 So relaxing....

I have two project in this month issue.
For my first project, I used the card sketch to alter a frame in a fall theme-
I love that the Scripture (or quote) can be replaced with a fun Fall photo.

My next assignment was to use an "interview" as the journaling on a layout.
This challenge was so much fun, that I've already completed a second layout
using the same journaling technique.

Please head over to Scrapbook Generation and check out all 203 pages of CREATE,
You'll be glad you did.

Thanks again for stopping by.....

Vacation???

That's a good excuse for ignoring your blog, right?

I'm here to tell ya, this summer has just plain gotten away from me!
We've done some redecorating and a bit of traveling and I have just lost all track of time.
Aside from a stray page here or there...I've been doing pretty good to just keep up with my
assignments for the wonderful ladies at Scrapbook Generation...

...which brings me to the July reveal of CREATE!
Another big issue this month, featuring both Bazzill and We R Memory Keepers.
There are a ton of great ideas and some awesome sketches in the July issue.

I have four projects included this month-

The first layout uses a stencil as part of the background design.
While I love the look of "mixed media", I rarely use anything "messy" on my pages so this truly was a bit of a challenge for me. I had a lot of fun just playing with the mist and the stencil and I certainly plan to branch out and do this again.

For the second page, I used We R Memory Keeper's products for the manufacturers challenge-
I REALLY love their stuff...
the colors are so bold and bright, right up my alley!

The final 2 projects, were to create a tag and card using the sketches.
The tag uses more of those bright, happy colors that I love from We R Memory Keepers.
Since we have quite a few July birthdays around here, this little guy will come in pretty handy this month.

I am NOT a great card maker, but the sketch really does allow you to get one together pretty quickly.
Having all the measurements right at your fingertips, makes it a breeze. Even for me.

So, be sure to take a peek at the July edition of CREATE,
So many pretty things this month.

And...while your at Scrapbook Generation be sure to check out ALL of the new products in the store.
Those adult coloring books and markers are calling my name!

Once again, thanks so much for taking time out of your busy day to stop by my little piece of the web.
 Have a blessed day! :)

LIFE...

Yep, it has officially "gotten in the way"!
Now that summer is here, hopefully that will be less of a problem.
My plan is to update the ol' blog on a more regular basis.

In the mean time, The May issue of CREATE magazine has gone live.
This months issue is jam packed, with a total of 319 pages
of fabulousness!

I am blessed to have a total of 4 layouts in this issue.

This first layout was created for the color assignment. I really enjoy using bright colors on my pages and this one was no exception.

The second assignment was to create a layout using a travel theme.
I used a travel line by Queen and Co. for this double page spread.

The third layout featured products by Paper House Studio.

I had never used Paper House before, but I was pleasantly surprised at how versatile the papers and stickers were to use.

And finally, my last project featured dies from the wonderful folks at
My Favorite Things!

I really love their Die-namics dies. They cut like butter...love, love, love them!

So, if you haven't already checked out the latest issue of CREATE,
head on over to Scrapbook Generation and take a look.
You'll be glad you did!

Thanks again for stopping by.

CREATE is LIVE!

The March issue of  CREATE is up and running!

Just check out this ADORABLE cover.

The March issue has 291 pages of scrapbooking goodness and features Doodlebug Design.

My first project was to use this months featured sketch-
I rarely get to use "girl" colors, so this layout was a lot of fun for me.

My second project was to use this months tag sketch in a different way.
I chose to alter a printers tray that I've had for quite awhile.
I really like how it turned out!

Stop over at  Scrapbook Generation , and take a peek.
There are so many beautiful projects in this month's issue.

Also, be sure to check out this weeks Grand Opening Celebration.

Let's get caught up, Shall we?

So who's ready for winter to officially be over?
Between promises of snow and dodging ice storms, lets just say,
I've had my fill. Bring on Spring!

Sadly, my time with the Nuts About Sketches design team has come
to an end. I would like to thank Shawn for the opportunity
to work with her sketches. It was truly a great experience.

These were my final three layouts for NAS-

Sketch 355

Sketch 357

and finally-
Sketch 358

Once again, thanks to Shawn and the whole team at NAS, it was a lot of fun.

Check back next week as the new edition of  CREATE magazine arrives!

Hopefully, Spring is just around the corner and we can beat these winter blahs very soon...
until then, Thanks for stopping by!

NAS Sketch #354-

Sketch # 354 is up on the Nuts About Sketches blog today!

Because I didn't have a lot of patterned papers to choose from in red or blue, I used mostly
cardstock and a bit of that fabulous POW paper (American  Crafts) for this layout.

ALSO...

I recently participated in an online crop and have several
layouts to share from last weekend.

I used NAS #244 as inspiration for this layout.

I used a sketch from Scrapbook Generation's
Sketches for Scrapbooking -one page sketches volume , for this layout.

As always, Thanks for stopping by and have a GREAT week!
